Description

NGC 3621 in Hydra is a spiral galaxy about 22,000,000 light-years distant and 93,000 light-years across. Its morphological classification is SA(s)d- an ordinary spiral with loosely wound arms. There is no evidence of a central bulge, although it's believed to have three supermassive black holes. Many thanks to my collaborator and friend, Mike Selby, who acquired and calibrated this fine data from Observatorio El Sauce, Chile.
