Description

The region without stars shows the dimensions of the Ha regions quite clearly.

In the upper part of the picture, in the middle is the Christmas tree star cluster (NGC 2264), which of course cannot be seen now, but at the top there is the cone nebula, a small dark cloud. The great nebula area is about 2500 light years away.

At the bottom right is the rosette nebula, NGC 2244. A small hole has already formed in the middle, as a result of the formation of new young stars. NGC 2244 is 5200 light years away from us.

Sorry, astrometry didn't work in this version. In the original it was carried out successfully.
