Description

I am happy to show my latest and surely most enjoying project so far. Since i first saw Shark nebula, i knew, this is going to be one of early objects which i will try to capture when i will get guiding. Such an amazing object with crazy structure and colors. When i saw i could even bring Rotten fish in the frame with my full frame Nikon, i was even more estatic. So in the begining of August and last week i managed to get almost 18 hours of data which i then processed in Pixinsight. I am very pleased and happy how it turned out. I could wrote about everything there is going on in the frame but i would write a novel So let just say there are many galaxies in the frame with also one bright Carbon star just a bit down the Rotten Fish glowing redish. Simply amazing piece of the night sky for sure.

BONUS: The cherry on top happened in the first night imaging session. While imaging, i was checking a bit guiding in PHD2 and spoted on the image screen something realy bright. So i checked it out and found out i got realy lucky, capturing meteor which burned right in my frame. I was surely jumping of joy when i saw it . So i edited single frame and put the meteor in my finaly processed image.

LDN 1235: Shark Nebula is a dark/reflection nebula in the constellation Cepheus and is just a small part of a much larger molecular cloud full of dark interstellar gas, which is so thick it hides most of the light from behind it. f you look closely near the head of the shark, you can find two small reflection nebulae  vdB 149 and vdB 150 which  are both illuminated by the bright B8IC spectral type stars close by.

LDN 1251: Is a complex nebula in the constellation Cepheus, containing dark structures and faintly glowing / reflecting dust and gas. It’s nickname is the Rotten Fish Nebula. There are also galaxies far in the background.
