Description

I looked up this Sharpless one, and most of the images here on Astrobin were taken remotely and usually with pretty big scopes. So I wanted to see what I can do with my "little" FLT132. This is the most southern target that I ever tried, Trees get into the way at roughly 220 degrees azimuth, so I had to use multiple nights to get this image together. I am still missing the SII component, but wanted to see what the HOO with RGB stars overlayed can produce. Main obstacle for this nebula: the many many stars in this area, great area 😊!! I left the bright area of NGC 2467 on purpose overexposed since I think that it gives the whole image a special touch. And I intentionally did not mention the nickname for this target, since I think that it does not fit at all ... well, as so many do not 😊.

Once the moon is out of the way I will obtain more OIII and a set of SII for the SHO/RGB image, soon to come when weather permits.
