Description

This image is the sum of a tolat of 623 60 secs unguided subs taken during the nights of 20th and 22nd of June 2020. Imaging train was Orion USA 250 F 3.9 scope, QHY183M Camera, Ioptron CEM60EC mount and Baader 8.5 nm O3 filter. This image is part of a RGB O3 HA project for M27. This image is almost unprocessed - just stacked with Astroart. Aquisition was also done with Astroart.

The Dumbbell Nebula (also known as the Apple Core Nebula, Messier 27, and NGC 6853) is a planetary nebula (nebulosity surrounding a large star) in the constellation Vulpecula, at a distance of about 1227 light-years. It was the first such nebula to be discovered, by Charles Messier in 1764. At its brightness of visual magnitude 7.5 and diameter of about 8 arcminutes, it is easily visible in binoculars and is a popular observing target in amateur telescopes. (Wikipedia)
