Description

This picture of Orion and its Barnard's loop is a 3 panel mosaic composed of a wide field view merged with 2 specific panels of higher resolution of ic434 and M42. Those 2 were captured at earlier time with my apo refractor of 80mm diameter. For simplicity I just enter the acquisition details of the wide field session, I can detail the other views upon request.

Orion is acquired with a vintage 50mm f/1,4 Pentax. That's a HaR-HaRGB layers processing. There are some star's spikes because I reduce the 50mm lens aperture @ f/2.8 to minimize optical aberration.

So please feel free to zoom in to get a thinner view of m42 and ic434.
