Description

I do like the prawn nebula. Maybe not quite the same detail and Lobster or Running Chicken, but plenty of interest and a lot of fainter background nebulosity that frames the brighter portions.

I imaged this earlier in the year, but with a straight flatenner which at 780mm FL on my APM stretched my guiding a tad.

So I've revisited over a couple of nights using the riccardi 0.75x reducer giving me 585mm and faster F4.5, so with the 12 hours here should be effectively gathering a lot more "light" than previous 11hour integration at F6.

Also decided to do this one in portrait orientation for a bit more differentiation than simply a wider field shot of previous image.

Stacked into separate Ha, OIII, and SII channels in APP and recombined as SHO in Startools 1.7.
