Description

A huge field in Cygnus covering about 10° and revealing on the most renowned region of the North Hemisphere.

Contrary to other widefield images I think that mine is truly sharp (even at 8"/px) thanks to the canon "best in class" 200mm lens : sharp and very good stars!

I know it is not a color image and so many will probably disregard it but honestly go full size and take time to look at all the billows of Ha.
The most stunning area is the IC1318 one where there are so many complex strucutures - see rev B

Also have a look at the annotated image as there are tons of objects ranging from PK to open clusters and dark nebs.
I hope this image will give some ideas to some of you for imaging next summer

The wiew is made of 9 panels (3x3) with varying exposure times but the most common integration time is around 3-4h per panel and that under Bortle 8 sky
Preprocessing was done in APP (mosaic mode truly shines here)
Processing in Pixinsight

This 9 panels view is part of a much larger project that I run with my friend Victor Van Puyenbroeck ( https://astrovirusblog.wordpress.com/ ) where we combine data from 2 systems to map the whole Cygnus area in SHO.

Have fun and try Ha only !
