Last night (2022-05-04) I decided to wrap up imaging the Coma Cluster (started in February this year) and when comparing the data taken last night to the data from February I noticed a bright dot shows up that didn't exist before. After ruling out an unrejected plane flash, and asteroid (it showed up in every frame and did not appear to move) I reached out to friends in the /r/ap community who helped me conclude this was a supernova that was discovered on April 1 this year.
