Description

I knew that in the first quarter of the moon, Ptolemaeus, because of its proximity to the terminator could give a different view of its reliefs.

This large walled plain dotted with many craters is most often presented well lit by sunlight.

I realized this view at 19:09 UT, shortly before dusk, so in a still-sustained sky luminosity.

In addition, clouds were coming and I could only make 4 shots before stopping the session.

With these conditions, I was convinced that my work would go straight to the dustbin, but I was surprised the next day to find that a video was usable.

The image reveals in a dark atmosphere, the power of the rocky massifs that border in particular the left enclosure of Ptolemaeus.
