Description

A spectacular emission nebula in Canis Major, 30 light years across and just 15 thousand light years from my backyard. The Helmet is an interstellar bubble, blown from the central pre-supernova central star called Wolf Rayet . This is  a 15 minute integration with a 14 inch Dobson, and a dual narrowband filter.
