Description

LBN 552 (Lynds Bright Nebula) and LDN 1228 (Lynds Dark Nebula) are molecular clouds in the constellation Cepheus, approximately 600 light years away. These are part of a much larger area and are part of an even larger cloud system in this area of the Milky Way.
