I used for the first time my achromatic! 6 inch refractor (a monster long scope!) on the MyT mount, and it was quite a ride to get the correct changes from the RASA in the SkyX program done, fought for 3 hours to find the correct settings. I also ran into the problem having a really long scope on the mount with the Losmandy tripod (time to get the pole up, need the concrete foundation done, if someone has some advices, please let me know!!!), and it hit the mount almost exactly when the scope points to the zenith, and The SkyX program did not like that. Nevertheless, I gathered some data after 11pm in the night, with a very crude polar alignment and T-Point model sample. It turned out not to be too bad, and my hopes are that it will be better with better alignments since I wanted to find out if the mount handles a focal length of 2000mm or higher, which an 11" SCT would provide. Unfortunately the clouds came back again the next night so that I have to wait for the next clear night to gather some OIII and SII data since I want to get a complete Wizard.

Description: PI analysis of the eccentricity. For me it indicates a tilt either in the train (likely) or in the scope. Anybody who can confirm my assumption?

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
