Description

This object is an open star cluster located 9000 light years away in the constellation of Perseus at a declination of +47 degrees. The cluster spans 10 arc-minutes in our apparent view, which corresponds to a diameter of 25 light years.

I find this to be an average cluster in terms of color and brightness. The stars do not appear to be in a spherical shape, but more like an arrowhead pointed left in the image. The background is not very exciting here, with just a small distant galaxy at lower right.
