Description

Seagull Nebula in H-alpha (Starless)

----------------------------------

This is the starless version of my H-alpha image of the Seagull Nebula I was able to capture a few weeks ago (10.5 hours with a one-shot colour camera):

It was created using the Starnet++ Star Removal tool.

Even though I generally only use starless images during the processing of regular (starry) astrophotography images, I post this one separately, as I thought it came out really smooth and the hydrogen gas structure is very clear.

I also used Topaz DeNoise A.I. for some minimal noise reduction and sharpening.

Technical info of the original H-alpha image:

Total imaging time: 10.5 hours (126x300" in H-alpha)

Telescope: Sky-Watcher Evostar ED80 Black Diamond

Camera: ZWO ASI294MC Pro

Mount: Celestron AVX
