Description

Well it's been a while since I did any processing. I've been trying to get as much data for the Jellyfish Nebula I've been working on, but it sets so early these days and it seems like every night is cloudy!

Anyway, on Tuesday I decided to take a crack at C/2019 Y4 ATLAS since it was clear and my main target was already obstructed by a neighbor's tree.

I find comets to be some of the most difficult targets, but also some of the most rewarding. To add to the difficulty, this was done with a mono camera. Luckily DSS did a decent job of stacking the data preserving both the comet and the stars. There are some artifacts if you look closely, but it's nothing too distracting.
