Description

So after few failures with this lens due to bad focus I try methodical method of:

- F5.6 rather than wide open, ISO 400 and ISO 800

- sit optics outside for temperature equilibrium, I focused lens when first carry outdoors, 2 hours later after equilibrium I come back, out of focus badly, lesson learned

- carefully focus on bright mast light on fishing boat that was anchored in fjord a few km away

Much better result! Now Pentium 4 supercomputer grinding away to stack 60+ subs which conveniently give me time to make lunch! After another multi hour wait, lunch, snacks, a beer this is final of 68x131s, F5.6, ISO 400 and ISO 800. No IOTD but I pretty happy with result and good learner experience for future regarding focus and more methodical process plus using different ISO values in DSS.
