Description

NGC 654 and NGC 663 are open star clusters in the constellation Cassiopeia. NGC 654, discovered by William Herschel in 1787, is estimated 7,830 light-years from Earth with an approximate age of 14 million years.

NGC 663 was also discovered by Herschel in 1787. This cluster is approximately 20 million years old and 7,000 light-years distant.

Last but not least, NGC 659 is another open cluster in Cassiopeia discovered by
Caroline Herschel in 1783.
