M99 Coma Pinwheel Galaxy

Description:
- The M99 Coma Pinwheel galaxy is approx. 42 million light years away.
- It is a spiral galaxy (like the Milky Way) and is approx. 62 thousand light years across.
- The galaxy is moving away at approx. 2,380 km per second.
- Note a tiny galaxy in the top left of the image. It is 600 million light years from Earth and is estimated at over 100 thousand light years across.

Details:
- Captured on 27-Jun-22.
- Celestron Edge 11 (280mm aperture, focal length 2800mm, f/10).
- ZWO ASI1600MM Pro monochrome camera (cooled to -10 DegC).
- EQ8Rh Pro mount, ASIair.
- 5x 300sec captures of each of R, G and B images, using Astrodon filters (1.25 hours).
- No calibration frames.
- Processed in PixInsight and Topaz Sharpen AI.
- Image size and resolution reduced for Facebook.
