Description

What happens when a star explodes? Exactly what we see in this photo. A supernova, the Veil Nebula complex located in the Swan constellation about 1700 years Light from the earth. An immense tangle of filaments of gas and dust that expand, drawing these wonderful shapes. The photo is a mosaic formed by 4 panels for a total of about 14 hours of footage with an H Alpha filter to collect the photons released by ionized hydrogen
