Description

Scutum is an unclear constellation with faint stars, lost in the glow of The Milky Way beetween Eagle and Sagittarius constellations.

Note Eagle nebula and Omega Nebula, glowing faintly red (unmodified DSLR) on the bottom right plus a bunch of various clusters scattered through the field. The most notable feature is the dark clouds details and the control of noise. Note too on the bottom left the visible glow of the-not-that-much-out-of-field Jupiter.

This is my first try with 3min exposures on the Omegon LX3 and some star trails are visible. I will work on that.

However, increasing exposure time brought details, colors and contrast far beyond what my usual 2 min exposures could reach.

Enjoy.
