Description

I imaged this the same 2 nights I imaged Leo's Triplet, had 2 scopes going, which is a challenge, but I am getting my process smoothed out a bit.  This is just over 7 hours of data.  I am pretty happy with this, especially compared to my first image of this target about a year ago.  There is some nice detail on several of the galaxies especially M88 which shows some nice detail and color on the arms.  Also, if you zoom in NGC 4440 shows some detail on this pretty spiral galaxy.

My back focus is still off a bit (too close), so I need to find some some fillers or extenders to fix this.

The Eyes Galaxies are in the cluster of galaxies known as Markarian's chain and are about 52 million light years away and are about 100,000 light years apart, but have been as close as 16,000 light years apart.  M84 & M86 were discovered by Charles Messier on 3/18/1781.  These 2 galaxies are estimated to be 65 million light years away. M88 is also about 65 million light years away and is definitely the star of this group.  M87 is about the same distance, but there isn't much detail.
