Description

Taken with the Redcat 51 and the ASI183 MC Pro - this stack of 100 x15sec exposures has been processed using both RC Noise and Star Xterminator. This image is the recombined Starless and Stars image. Taken from Iluka, Western Australia on 30 June 2022 - on a clear moonless night. The ASI 183 is a better match with the RC 51 than the ASI294 RC51 combination as seen by comparison to the similar image also posted on Astrobin of the same sky area.

Title: M8 and M20 Starless Experiment

Description: Experimental removal of stars using RC Star Xterminator. The nebulosity was then processed, the separate star image was processed to reduce the star size then the two images were recombined resulting in a more pleasing appearance - the starless image leaves me with mixed feelings - it is pretty but somewhat unreal.....
