Description

I turned my RC-8 to this nebula back in May thinking this would be a nice narrowband object. Unfortunately I didn't realize how many subs an f8 scope would require to produce SII and OII masters with an acceptable SNR. I tried combining the linear images in Pixinsight but the Ha simply overwhelmed everything else and reducing the green cast dimmed the image too much. So I borrowed J-P Metsavainio technique and stretched and removed the stars from each channel before combining them. Somewhat labour intensive but I was much happier with the results. After many tries I added some stars I shot in RGB. Your feedback and suggestions are most welcome.
I reprocessed the masters with MureDenoise and used Starnet2 to make starless versions and star masks in this new version. I then used a few techniques that I picked up from Adam Blocks videos. I prefer the colour in this version. What do you think?
