Description

Here are two globular clusters, very different in appearance, M53 being a lot more concentrated and NGC5053 more diffuse, almost looking like an open cluster. They are quite close to each other in space, at around 57000 l-y from us. There is even a faint tidal arm between them (not visible on the photo), that suggests they interacted in the past.

This is an LRGB composition.
