Description

Galaxy group Mahtessian 266 in the constellation Pegasus. This interacting group of three galaxies consists of ngc 7769, ngc 7770, and ngc 7771. The gravitational pull between these galaxies has created shell structures and tidal tails. Also just barely visible in this image is IFN. Because of the low number of luminance subs, I combined all exposures and created a synthetic luminance.
The data for this image was captured during the few clear nights we've had this month. I had to discard almost half the luminance subs due to clouds/fog moving in. I would like to add at least 6 hours of good quality luminance to better bring out the tidal structures and IFN, so I'm hoping for one or two clear and moonless nights before this group disappears out of sight.
