Description

This is part of a huge molecular cloud complex near southern celestial pole in Chameleon’s constellation.

It is a quite dark object and a f/4.9 objetive clearly doesn’t help much! I should have exposed it longer but I didn' t realise it till I came back home (Bortle 9 sky, too late!). As consecuense, of course, It has been hard to stretch it, but all in all I am rather pleased with the final result. Anyway... I really like dark nebula photographies and this one in particular, being so close to tons of southern sky jewels is hardly ever photographed.

I had already uploaded an image processed with the same data which was erased in the massive Astrobin’s data lost last February! As I wasn’t able to recover the original one I decided to wipe my original post out and restart from the scratch processing instead of replacing the original image (that I couldn' t find) with a different one!

Now I will have to start reprocessing my Corona Australis image also lost!
