Description

Easily visible in this image are 4 galaxies situated in the constellation of Ursa Major.
- NGC 4088 a grand design spiral galaxy
- NGC 4085 an intermediate spiral galaxy
- NGC 4100 a spiral galaxy
- NGC 4157 an intermediate spiral galaxy.
These four galaxies are members of the M109 group of galaxies (Ursa Major Cloud) consisting of 41 to 58 galaxies and are roughly 55 million light years away. NGC 4088 and 4085 are thought to be interacting.

These galaxies are little imaged but with the right scope can be very nice targets, I will attempt these with my RC as they exhibit some interesting features. Despite the large field of view, I think this turned out ok.
