Description

This is an RGB image project with a 10% HA blended in with the PIXINSIGHT LRGB Combination Module.

After getting my lunch eaten on the Pacman Nebula, I went back and revisited my data collection methods. I live under 19 to 19.5 skies and my color has never been good.

This target was nice and bright. Shot Lum, HA, Red, Green, and Blue. Combined as RGB, HaRGB, LRGB. Finally tried 10% HA Lum in the Pixinsight LRGB combination and that looked just right.

HA = 7 * 5 MIN, used as 10% LUM

RED = 45 * 2MIN

GREEN = 45 * 2MIN

BLUE = 45 * 3MIN, Only 29 passed the RANSAC combination in PI.

My dithering settings need to be set highter to get past some column defects.

Image was shot with a NAB SBIG 1603ME, hence the blooms.

Feel this was good progress and was able to apply the lessons learned on my NGC281 Narrowband Project.

NGC 2023 showed more than just blue with the RGB technique.

Will probably shoot my HA and try another version of this image now that I have some nice color to work with.
