Very curious and just getting started! I have a background in general photography with a Canon 6D DSLR, and I plan to buy an equatorial mount and tracker to begin astrophotography.
My interest in the cosmos and my background in photography (especially long exposure and “light painting”) led me to astrophotography. I also believe that we are a small part of a much bigger cosmos, and photography is a form of appreciation for the beauty we live in. Although skeptical, I highly doubt we are alone as the only intelligence in the cosmos. Astrophotography combines many of my interests and curiosities.
