I was given a 4" newtonian by my parents when I was about 12, bought my first scope (10" newt) at age 16 (in 1980) and have been going ever since as time and money allows. I spent the 80's trying to image on film on a college student budget - not an easy task. Bought a 2120 LX5 in 1988 and used that for many years. In 2003 I got an LX200 and started dabbling in early webcam auto guiding. Kids, work and other things put this on the back burner for some time. In 2009 the advent of DSLRs opened new horizons and in 2018 I began using newer dedicated guide cameras and built an observatory in 2020.

My next goal is to get back into long FL imaging - we will see how that goes...
