Paramount Observatory is a private project to allow me to show some of the astronomy activity I undertake from my location in Liverpool, UK.

Under Bortle 8 skies, with neighbouring security lights and street light pollution, visual astronomy is very difficult. As such I have decided to take advantage of the sensitivity of a camera that allows me to see things I could never see with my eyes alone.

I think also, and this is just my own opinion, using cameras allows us to see the detail we could never see, even under the best of dark skies with the limitations of our eyes.

Providing this as a public channel, hopefully it will allow people to see as I do, the beauty of the night sky and what can be seen from our own backyard.
