Even though I've been doing AP for a year and a half, I'm still a noob, but I'm hooked. I think it appeals to both my artistic side as well as the anal-retentive technology geek in me, because to obtain decent data you have to be really detail oriented. But then processing the data to develop a beautiful picture allows you to express your artistic sensibilities. It's a nice combination, even though it is enormously frustrating most of the time.
