I retired in 1996 from Ford Motor engineering after 41 years and still live in the Detroit area. I was born in 1935, so there are a lot of miles on my bones. Most of my DSO imaging was done using a Meade LX200GPS & AFC. I did a lot of work on the AFC to get the auto-guiding and balance to excellent levels. I am migrating to a much lighter Losmandy GM8 mount and a Celestron HD8. The Meade fork is just too heavy for my old back. Because of the bad light pollution at my home I must travel at least 60 miles to do any good DSO work. I spend 3 winter months in a south Texas RV park and have the same LP problem there, so I travel to the Davis Mts. for the excellent skies. Chris
