I currently live in the heavily light polluted San Francisco area (just a couple of miles from a major international airport). For the last several years, I've been trying to manage Astrophotography under these conditions with mixed results. Twice a year I attend California star parties (Calstar and the Golden State Star Party) to remember what it is like to actually look at a dark sky.
