I got my first telescope(127mm mak) in my senior years.(age 63) Always thought I would like to have one but just never got around to getting one until last year. I will have to say I wish I had purchased one years ago. After getting my first scope and viewing Saturn for the first time I was hooked on astronomy. I have since purchased a 9.25 XLT celestron and built a small Roll Off Roof observatory in my backyard which I have really enjoyed so far. Planning on retiring sometime this summer and hope to be able to get plenty of use out of it.
