Description

My first attempt at doing one of those neat HDR lightside/darkside moon pictures.

The dark side is stacked of 250 frames at 1/8 second exposure at ISO 51200

The light side is stacked of 500 frames at 1/400 second exposure at ISO 5000

There's obviously all sorts of artifacts and blooming that causes things to not exactly line up. In addition, I just set all the black pixels in the crescent to transparent, which leads to the saturated bright parts of the light side of the dark side peeking through, leading to an odd effect.

I could probably clean some of this stuff up with extensive manual fiddling but I don't feel like putting in that time right now.
