Description

Sunset on Messier and Messier A located on the Mare Fecunditatis. There has been a lot of conjecture over the years about the formation of the two rays coming from Messier A. Was it caused by an asteroid or comet coming in at a shallow angle, hitting a ridge and then coming out the other side? or was it formed by two objects? Or was it an object that skipped twice when it hit at a low angle?
