      Description

      Messier 82 - The Cigar Galaxy is a starburst galaxy approximately 12 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major.

      In this image you can see very nice the filaments of the red glowing expanding gas in the galaxy.

      Taken with the ASA EQ1000 at the "Vega Sternwarte Haus der Natur Salzburg" (Austria).

      Exposure time: 49 x 7min Luminance, 35 x 20min Ha and 30 x 7 min each RGB (all unbinned)

      Total: 27.8 hours
