Description

This star forming region is only 800 - 1000 pc from Earth and the youngest stars are no more than a few million years old. It is located in the constellation Cepheus at a declination of 67° 27'. The complex includes one of the hottest stars within 1kpc of the sun, specifically BD+66 1673, an eclipsing binary system consisting of an O5V with a surface temperature of 45,000K.
