Description

My extreme young moon 2 days and 1 hour after the new moon on July 22, 2020, at 20.46 at 12* above the western horizon. Good visibility conditions, stable image.

I consider the three-panel mosaic of a thin lunar croissant worthy of attention. If I see structures inside the periphery of Humboldt, if I admire the crowns of Langrenus, Vandelinus and Petavius on the terminator, if I see shadow cones in the Mare Crisium Basin, if the southern spire is clearly marked with the Helmholtz and Neumayer craters and on the opposite end I see, among others: Hahn , Berosus and Mercurius and if a series of small craters can be seen all over the surface from the terminator to the rim of the Silver Globe, could I wish for an even clearer picture?
