Description

A field in Pegasus with a myriad of galaxies. Two major groups can be recognized. The Deer Lick group, prospectively centered on the galaxy NGC 7331, similar in size to the Milky Way (sometimes referred to as the Milky Way twin) that lies at a distance of about 40 millions LY from us. The other galaxies of the "group" include NGC 7335, 7336, 7337 and 7340 that lie at 300-350 millions LY from us. The other discrete group is the so called Stephan's quintet, that lies at approximately 300 million LY from us and includes NGC 7317, 7318A, 7318B, 7319, and 7320 which is the brightes member of the group.
