Description

A large and bright Globular Cluster, which can only be observed from the Southern Hemisphere. Although in the vicinity of the Small Magellanic Cloud, it is much closer to us then our satellite galaxy. This Globular Cluster contains less Blue Stragglers than most other Globulars. Its integrated spectral class is G4, thus appearing yellowish. Image acquired during a scheduled 1 hour session with the telescope CHI-1 at Telescope Live, El Sauce Observatory, Rio Hurtado, Coquimbo Region, Chile.
