Blue Straggler Cluster = NGC 6397 = Caldwell 86, wide field version which suits the target much better. I love dense star fields.
The ORIGINAL VERSION was my first light for my ASI6200 MM Pro camera and also for the Riccardi APM 0.75x large reducer. The camera is great, very easy to work with. I cannot say the same thing for the reducer. I didn't need a reducer or flattener when I was using the small chip Atik 460 but the full frame of the 6200 requires one. If you look carefully the stars at the corners and the edges are not round and the colours don't register precisely. This is after spending hours and good nights trying different spacings.
The FINAL VERSION is with the Astrophysics QuadTCC replacing the Riccardi APM reducer. The corner stars are much better. Of course this might be the result of operator error i.e. me rather than the intrinsic qualities of the two reducers but the QuadTCC just worked. I could still tweak the QuadTCC spacing a bit but I haven't been back to New Zealand to try this, for a very long time, thanks to you know what...
