I have been using Optolong Filters for many years now. When I first got into astrophotography I frequently visited the local Starizona shop where I was turned on to the L-pro. It has been my go to filter and I highly recommend it to photographers of all experience levels . Now, when the L-eNhance came out I picked one up as soon as they were available. Unfortunately I wasn't thrilled with the results. I know many people who love their L-eN and I've seen some excellent photos taken with it. However, the data I acquired was often noisy and difficult to work with, especially in the blue channel. Once again when the L-eXtreme came out I made sure to have one on the day they were available in the states, but this time I was blown away with the results. It's Ha and Oiii transmission is spot on providing crisp, vibrant, and clean data which is easy to process. This photo is a reprocess of one of my L-eXtreme test shots, it was used in collaboration with Trevor from Astrobackyard's review of the filter.
I have since added some Ha data taken with the ASI1600/Chroma 3nm to bring out the faint outer shell of hydrogen
