A particularly colorful case is the star forming region SH2-29 (Simeis 188) which houses an unusual and bright cloud arc cataloged as NGC 6559. Visible above are red glowing emission nebulas of hydrogen, blue reflection nebulas of dust, dark absorption nebulas of dust, and the stars that formed from them. The first massive stars formed from the dense gas will emit energetic light and winds that erode, fragment, and sculpt their birthplace. And then they explode. The resulting morass can be as beautiful as it is complex. After tens of millions of years, the dust boils away, the gas gets swept away, and all that is left is a naked open cluster of stars. SH2-29 is located about 4,000 light years away and can be found about one degree northeast of M8, the Lagoon Nebula.

At the center of the image placed IC 4685 nebula. Black "worms" over it are dust nebulae B 302 and B 303. NGC 6559 is slightly to the right of the center and “separated” by an arch from IC 4685. Two spherical clumps just below the center are IC 1274 and IC 1275 (SH2-32 and SH2-31 respectively), separated by the dusty nebula B 91.

On the left side of the frame there is a small reflection nebula IC4678, and on the bottom of the frame - IC 4684. In the bottom left corner is the open cluster NGC 6546.

In the upper left corner in the frame is the northeastern part of the Lagoon (M8). Interestingly, against the background of SH2-29 nebula, just above the center, the planetary nebula Minkovsky M1-41 is present.
