Description

This object is a small obscure face-on spiral galaxy located 120 million light years away in the constellation of Cancer at a declination of +25 degrees. This magnitude 12 galaxy spans just over 2 arc-minutes in our apparent view, which corresponds to a diameter of 80,000 light years.

The galaxy structure is well disturbed, looking like a triangle. The arms are really unusual, containing Vorontsov-Velyaminov Rows and bright star clusters. So what is causing this disturbance? I couldn't find an answer to that question. There are several suspicious galaxies nearby, but I could not find distance information for any of them.
