Description

Pebble-dropped-in-a-galaxy-pond:

When the Rubin Observatory comes on-line there will be few hidden treasures for astrophotographers... in the meantime, here is NGC 3898 (and NGC 3888).

NGC 3898 is around 60 million light years away. NGC 3888 is likely twice as far. Thanks to Josep Drudis for letting me capture this delicate spiral. There are plenty of interesting background galaxies in the field as well as a LSB galaxy in the top right.
