Description

m78, also known as NGC 2068, is a reflection nebula in the constellation Orion. It was discovered by Pierre Méchain in 1780. It is 1,350ly  away from Earth. This picture has been taken at the Shurley' Ranch in Texas, in late March of this year.  The Shurley's Ranch is located in Bortle 1 area, and became an astro destination for my friends and I. Well worth 24h drive from Indiannopolis and another 7.5 h for me to get there from Ontario.  It was 4 of us who set up 17 telescopes and were trying to capture as many images as possible.  On ocations wind was our enemy, however, we got 7 good nights and the other 2 were so so, with only one we could not image.  It was one of the best vacations ever, as all of us are astro junkies and all the conversations and activities were astro related. This is my first image out of 8 i took theer and am hoping to share with you.
