Description

Decided to take my data of the Orion Nebula and Horsehead Nebula and run it through Astro Pixel Processor to see what I could do with a simulated SHO palette. Extracted Ha and Oiii and used Ha-Oiii mono for the Sii.I really like how the colors came out. I tried to do the image as an HDR to soften the blowout in the core of M42 but I think my long exposure was simply too long. It was long because I wanted to bring out Horsehead as much as I could. I am thinking that maybe I need to do three sets of images - one long for the faint stuff, one "normal" for Orion with a little blow out and then the short to get the Trapezium and the core right for M42.
